Jacob Allen, 18, and a 2011 graduate of Nazareth High School has been unanimously appointed to fill a vacant seat in the Nazareth Area School Board. Allen was the only person to express interest after John Marino vacated he seat after moving out of the area required by his seat.
Allen has attended every school board meeting since he was freshman and is excited to get involved. He plans to hold the seat until the fall at which time the seat will be up for general election. Allen opposes the position of the board to not restore the Drivers Education Program that was cut by the board earlier this year.
