Nazareth Police Find Drugs, Weapon During Traffic Stop

A routine traffic stop by Nazareth Police for an expired registration turned up more than was expected.

Police found three Phillipsburg,NJ men in the car as well as 65 bags of heroin, 4 bags of cocaine, and $400 in cash. In addition a .45 caliber handgun was visible under the passenger seat. None of the men in the car had a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

The men were charged with carrying a firearm without a license, conspiracy to carry a firearm without a license, possession of a controlled substance, conspiracy to possess a controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy to possess with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, conspiracy to possess drug paraphernalia and unlawful activities for not having a valid registration sticker on the vehicle.
